Monthly Prize

I'm starting to think about monthly prizes for people who play on our BC2 servers (Rush at least). It would be a random drawing of anyone who played at least 10 rounds on our server and is NOT a TKC member. I just added a new plugin for our RUSH server and it's working. What it does is automatically record player stats to a database table. If you type !rank you can see your rank on the server. It updates after each round. This is similar to HLstatsX. I can use that information to randomly select someone and give them a prize. And I'm talking like in the $25 dollar range. Like a competition gaming mouse or stuff like that. Nothing too big. If we don't have the money to support it, then we won't do it, but I'm trying to come up with ways to populate our servers more frequently. Having a ranking system and monthly prizes might do it.

Thoughts?

Actually we'll probably give this prize to the player who has the most minutes on our servers. It will have to include the RUSH, and 2 DM servers together.

Maybe the first prize could be the PC version of Borderland, or we could also give them the option of Call of Duty 4, or something else...

We could try this for a couple of months and see if it actually seems to work. If it does, more members, more donations, and we can continue doing it, if not, we stop and no harm done.

Keeping on subject.. anyone else have ideas about this? Here is what is recorded in the DB:

Playername-Kills-Deaths-Score-Rounds
-o]T3[o-45-34-4900-5

So we could use rounds and if there is a tie, break the tie with score. If this works we could even have 2 prizes including a random prize for someone who has played a minimum number of rounds, that way anyone could win who has spent more than 15 minutes on a TKC BC2 server. Also, I was thinking we could offer them 2 or 3 games, a mouse pad, or Paypal money. That way they have a choice. If they are in another country, I'm not sure what we'd do. It would almost HAVE to be Paypal at that point.
