Couple of BC2 server changes
Posted: Tue Jul 27, 2010 10:22 pmWe no longer have a Conquest server. It just wasn't getting populated enough to justify the $40 a month. Instead I have changed it into a 16 slot SQDM server. This will save us $20 a month and allows us to purchase a NEW SQRUSH server. The new SQDM server will remain in London.
The new SQRUSH server is necessary because of our league play we'll be starting soon. This new server will be RANKED and have normal settings to attract more players whereas our OLD SQRUSH server now has WOGL (World Online Gaming League) settings. We will use that server when we need to practice, scrim, whatever. We hope to have a Team A and Team B for WOGL that will allow both teams to prepare for league matches. The new SQRUSH server is in New York because a couple of our Euro players have said the ping and lag is better in NY than in Chicago.
All in all we save $10 a month and now have 5 BC2 servers. Squad Rush has been getting more popular lately so we have changed with the times.
