I'd say go ahead to ibuypower.com or cyberpowerpc.com and make the same computer, but with an i7. huge step up from i5, it has hyperthreading :D

I agree, and also, maybe add a bit of a better GPU, get atleast the 250.

Sometimes measuring the bottleneck can be interpreted in so many ways. The only Thing ATI can render better then Nvidia is BSoD.

I'm gonna get the 250, but i'm not gonna get the i7; too much for now. I can't spend under $1,000 and get the i7 with this setup. They don't even have this comp on ibuypower's website anymore.

Re: This is the computer I'm saving up for.

I'm looking to buy a new computer by then end of the summer... already got the new 23" 1080P LED 5million:1 contrast ratio monitor, just need the system to play all my games on max settings in full HD.
I'm looking at the following specs:
Intel i7 (or i9 if cheaper ones are released by then)
    6Gb or 8gb ddr3 ram
    ati hd5870 or nvidia 470
    x-fi fatality soundcard
    1.5Tb hdd
prefer an Asus lga1366 socket mobo to support i7/i9 and 24gb ram, with dual and quad GPU support (even though i may not get more than one card - doesnt hurt to have the extra PCIe slots for a usb3.0 card or whatever)
if you have any suggestions please PM me, otherwise i wont prob see this thread in a while

    No, sadly no sli :icon_sad:
But the card slot is a PCIe 2.0 x16, so just about any card will work with it; eventually i'll get the GTX 480 or 470 ;)

Re: This is the computer I'm saving up for.

Check out this i7 under $1000 and see if you can play with the configs to get it what you want:
    http://www.cyberpowerpc.com/system/Mega ... Lightning/

    Or this one:
    http://www.cyberpowerpc.com/system/Cybe ... A_Edition/

I've never seen anyone able to beat Cyberpower on complete system prices.
