Seriously. With the release of the Steam client for Mac OS X today, they're offering Portal for free on Mac and PC until may 24th. Check it out here:

yes, but in order to get it free you have to install it BEFORE may 24th.

I think after May 24th if you want to play it you gonna have to pay for it.

No, i read up on it and if you install the game before the 24th , it's yours for life. they even said "no strings attached, no expiration date on gameplay"

Did you read that part: But, like we keep saying, Portal is free. Free on the Mac. Free on the PC. But only until May 24th. So you only have a few days to decide if your free copy of Portal is worth the price we're currently charging.
