I think Kingloser will be able to help if you are thinking about building a reasonably priced PC. He just built a nice computer that isn't tons of money.

I'll use google translator and maybe it'll work...

What I said was:

The most important thing would be to get a better processor and more RAM. I think that you should be fine with a 1gb video card, but it all depends on if your motherboard will support the extra RAM and a new processor. You might have to buy a new motherboard in order to upgrade your processor or RAM.

I hope it translated right lol

¿Te buiild su equipo o lo compró de un lugar como Dell? Si usted compró, ¿cuál es el número de modelo?

Did you buiild your computer or did you buy it from somewhere like Dell? If you bought it, what's the model number?

i have no clue about GTA IV but i had a 1 gb 9600 gt and it wasnt very good for Bad COmpany 2 so the 9400 might not actually cut it. but 2 gigs does seem a little low but depending on his os he cant go alot higher on that end unless he has 64 bit.

it all goes by personal preference and how much you want to spend. what exactly are you looking for? and how much are you willing to spend?

There are 2 problems, my money is not the same as yours and the other is that here things are more expensive here (in the subject of transport, etc.). I think about 270 dollars.

Is that American dollars? What currency will you be using?

Unfortunately, from what I can tell, there aren't really any places in Spain that sell components online, so you'd probably have to buy locally. Not a big deal, except you can get better deals online 9 times out of 10. This also means that we could suggest some parts, but they probably wouldn't meant your price range if you have to buy locally.

ok heres a list of info we need then.

Current Chipset
Intel or Amd
and what type/speed

Current Ram
how many sticks of ram at what speed and how big are they
like 2 sticks of 1 gb each for a total of 2 gb's
or is it 4 sticks of 512 for 2gbs and the speed is essential

what Operating system do u currently have?

what size case do u have. is it ATX or Micro-ATX motherboard compatible?

how big is ur hard drive? and what speed does it read/write at

THis stuff is important for us to help find stuff that is both compatible and will help speed up your system. it is slightly possible that a full hard drive could cause u issues especially if it is an older/slower hard drive.

This matters for even new stuff. My computer i just built gets windows scores all above 7.2 except my hard drive which is a 7200 rpm 500 gig that gets a lowly 5.9 score. So sooner or later i need to do something their myself.

dbl post time, i felt this needed a seperate one. It is completely possible that we could find u parts relatively cheap here and then have them shipped to one of us and then shipped to you if that would be the better route. Id be willing to do this if need be, but lets get stuff figured out b4 we worry about that.

Does sound like an overheating problem, but not from the video card most likely. If it overheats, most systems will just reboot themselves or your monitor will go all black. If your getting a blue screen, write down the error code and do an internet search for it to see what the cause is.
