Today valve released a whole new version of steam. They totally changed everything graphically and they've rewritten some code. The browser is now a webkit based browser not an Internet explorer one like before (faster load times). I haven't gotten a chance to check it out yet but I'll do it the second I'm able to. If you want this update to be applied just go to settings>betas> steam beta and then it'll download and install it, you can always go back to the normal one by unchecking the steam beta box. There is no beta under settings in steam. Please clarify.

No it's not an automatic update, it's a Beta Participation. you can choose to get it or not. I love it

I got it yesterday and it's nice but I backed out of it when I was having problems with BC2. I wasn't sure how it would affect BC2 but when I ran the game without steam running my game would stop lagging. After backing out of it however the game would still lag when steam was up so it wasn't the beta gui, just some weird issue.

Its a little sensitive for me, but its awesome. I wish you had to option to change the background pictures of the games and the ability to order them how you want, not just strictly alphabetical.

Ive tried it, and i like it! Theres just a few thing i dont like. The server button is not there any more, you have click a tab first, same for friends. in the games tab, it takes time to load, because its loading different a background for each game. But i like it!
