Yeah, Vizio is their own brand (see here:
http://wiki.answers.com/Q/Who_owns_and_manufactures_VIZIO_TV) and they're actually grabbing a lot of ground on the more established name brands (such as Sony and Samsung). Vizio's TV's had a problem with shelf-life when they first started coming on the market (I think the owner's were trying to cut consumer cost by using lesser quality parts) but they've since revamped their engineering and are making some pretty solid TV's. The one I bought I did some pretty extensive research on and couldn't really find any negative comments on it.
Yes my time on HL2DM will be dwindling, but honestly, it already had been ever since L4D2 came out. I'm with T3, King, and them and I'm ready to move on. Most of that will be by going to BC2, but I may be delayed there due to some unforeseen circumstances, but we'll see.
