Well, i thought that i could make a topic where i could post the youtube gaming videos i make. I already have my three music videos (HL2DM, burnout paradise and Mirrors edge), 2 CTF matches, 3 Flatout Ultimate Carnage races and 1 burnout paradise road rage.

Can you post how you do these?
Theres the Fraps program, but you have to pay for the full version to get mote than 30 seconds of video. Any i forget the name of the other, better free program.

ya you have to pay for the complete FRAPS, like I did. Its 37$. But the video file taht you make with FRAPS is quite big : 2 to 4 Gb. So I use VirtualDub (its free) to compress my videos. VirtualDub has very simple editing tools, like cutting videos, but the compressing is quite good. The compression I use is the DivX codec (which you have to download if you dont have it (free again)), very good and I set that up at 1080p and quality 3 (thats quite good).

When I get back home,ill see in what resolution I record.

EDIT: I AM HOME! For games many of my games, i record in 1280x800 or around that (you dont need higher, its only youtube)and I record Full-size (fraps option), but for CTF i record around 1280x800 in a window, and half-size. Its hard for my computer to handle gaming, internet and recording at the same time. You guys might have other configurations.

So heres the 2 CTF matches for last Sunday. On floodzone and canyon. Watch the last one till the end. i ended it amazingly!

As i said, i can only record half-life in half size, so its kind of not great quality, you can see the names better if you play it bigger on youtube.

hey guys, i forgot to tell you about Gamecam. Its a very well made game recording program, it allows you to add watermarks, to start recording 30 seconds in the past (cache) and other great features... FOR FREE. To my mind, DONT GET IT!!. For me it was too good to be true. I went on download.com, where i didnt find the download. That meant it isnt tested spyware-free,... or it has spywares. I asked my friend who told me about Gamecam (he had it) to run a virus check on the folder, and when he did, the virus checker closed. So dont get it!!

I use FRAPS. it costs 37$, but you can get a free version. The free version can only record 30 seconds per video. It is made especially to record games.




On my HL2CTF SPECTATING 3 video, what is that thing out of the map at 0:37?????
