In Haiti(country) there is a little island (the name is "Lagonav") ,if you want to go to that place you have to use a boat to do that and the people who are living over there have cars and to get those vehicles on the island they do the same thing ,they use the boats .In this video you will see them doing the same thing to get a Mack Truck on the island ,it is real and not a fake video .

How big is that island? Is it even necessary to have a car for an island that small?

Made up of mostly limestone, the reef-fringed island of Gonave is 60 km (37 miles) long and 15 km (9 miles) wide and covers an area of 743 km (287 sq. miles). The island is mostly barren and hilly with the highest point reaching 778 meters (2552 feet)(Haitian media).
