    XFX Plug

I have two XFX 8800GT Alpha Dog video cards SLI in the system that use for gaming . On Christmas Eve one of the fans stopped working so I ran up to the Micro Center to buy a fan... not happening... I could have bought an aftermarket heat sink and fan and installed it but as I was walking away this guy said i heard you telling the sales person you needed a fan for XFX card..
he told he though that XFX had a 3 year warranty on all there Video cards...
I told him thanks and Marry Christmas and went home ... having the video card in my hand I went to the XFX website and filled out a Ticket on my card Serial number and model number and where I bought it and the date ( Newegg) . Before that day was over I had a responce .... had told them the problem fan stopped working I needed a new one ... he asked me if the card overheated and I told him it never reached 63 degrees Celses ... He said he would send out a box and shipping lable for me to send the card in for repair ... I like fixing my stuff so i asked him if he would just send me out a fan and I could install it ... ha asked if it had 4 wires or 2 wires and I told him 4... yesterday in the mail I got a package from XFX with a new fan Heat sink assambly... I only needed the fan and didnt feel like taking off the whole heatsink ... I didnt have any heat transfer Past ... So i replaced the fan and My system is back in action...
    My plug is this
XFX handled this issue fast over the holidays and with no problems even gave me some options on how to get it fixed .. The cards have a life time warranty also.... I will use them again in my next build .... XFX handles ATI and nVIDIA cards
My system is on its 63 day running Windows 7 Flawlessly ... Not one issue at all... :icon_mrgreen:

Lucky You, I've reformatted my computer to the Original Windows 7 release with no updates yet. Seems better, so i'm not going to install the updates yet.

Slevin If i were you and unsure of the updates ... Thinking they were causing trouble... I am pretty sure I saw a web page from Mircosoft with all the released updates to date... you could like download one or even two at a time then run the system for a day to make sure all is well...
I hope you get windows 7 running ... I really like it and the more i learn about it the more I like it ... My system has come alive since i installed it.
