Missing Map

So a couple people have msg'ed me saying they are getting a missing map message. Can someone tell me which server is giving the error? I'm assuming Squids but i'm not sure.

We had some trouble yesterday playing CTF 1.71. some of us got an error message saying "Missing maps" it was one called "ctf_gate_te", Bobzwik found the map in "http://www.ctfstats.com/hlstats.php?mode=maps&game=hl2ctf" we went ahead and downloaded it, put it in the CTF maps folder in our computer, tried again and worked.
I'm not sure why it happened, i played in that map before, but anyways we were able to figure out, thanks T3.

I think he's talking about Flem's, Monitor. Ever since King removed the spawn point in tower 3 and changed the map name, every time when someone tries to log into Flem's, they get an error message that they're missing the new map. I had the same problem, but DonJuan uploaded the map onto rapidshare and posted a link to it in Server Visitor Complaints. He told everyone to delete the old Flem's map (dm_sniper_flemm) and replace it with the new one (dm_sniper_flemmv3). Worked fine for me

I thought it was CTF, i msg'ed him yesterday and told him about the missing map in CTF. I thought Big Flems issue was resolved a few days ago already, i been able to play fine in flems after the removing of the spawn point issue in tower 3. I too got the missing map message, but it was fine afterwards. Didn't need to download the map.

yes it was CTF ,it happened to PJ yesterday and some players have the same problem in big flem ,when they are trying to login they receive that message .

We got the message with "ctf_gate_te" map.
If you still receive the "Missing map" message then:
1- Go to:
http://www.ctfstats.com/hlstats.php?mod ... ame=hl2ctf2- On the right side click on "Download this map"
3- Extract it, i used WinRar
4- Then just put it in the CTF maps folder, usually C:\Program Files\Valve\Steam\SteamApps\SourceMods\CTF\maps...(I'm at work so i'm not 100% sure but i think that's it).
If you get a Missing map message with a different map than the above, then just look for it and download it from:
http://www.ctfstats.com/hlstats.php?mod ... ame=hl2ctf and do the same process that might be able to fix the "Missing maps" problems.

I was talking about the HL2DM servers.. not CTF. However I will look into the cTF issue too.

BTW you can download the maps from HLstatsX CE by clicking the server>maps>map name>download this map.

OK update...
The missing map problem was an issue with all of the servers because SG apparently blew away our TKC hostname on the fast download server they provide us which means the setting in the server config file was no longer valid. I have updated the server.cfg on all the servers and restarted them all. You shouldn't see missing map msg's anymore.

Thanks T.. yeah we were on Cft 1.71 Sunday .... I and others had problems with 2 different maps, REALLY FRUSTRATING
