Who here has an ATI card? Who has the latest Drivers installed (Catalyst 9.10)?
Does anyone with those have problems with there Display? Anyone get an error message:
"Display Driver ATI Radeon Family stopped responding and has successfully recovered"
It seems to happen whenever I play a movie or any .avi
I never had this problem with version 9.9...but this also has started ever since my Blue Screen.

I have an ATI card, but I have version 8 Catalyst drivers because they don't make new ones for XP anymore.

I've always trusted ATI, i just think this problem is due to Windows Update (Is it possible for an update to corrupt the physical graphics card?)
I dont want to have to get a new card butif so, i'd rather as well get a new DirectX 11 capable card... I still have my old ATI x550 Card back home if this one does crap out.
I wanted to save my money for a new motherboard and cpu anyway

I would think there wold be some way for you to test your ATI card or any card for that matter to find out if its not working like it should ... I know that there are others here that have GeForce 8 seires cards and have had no problems... But I sopose its like GM or Ford they are both good auto makers and either of the cards work just fine...
Given you some of your own ideas have you posted on any of the PC sites about your ATI card to find out if anyone is having some of the same troubles you are having. Just an Idea ... Hope you dont have to shell out any $$ now for a new card

I've got an Nvidia 8600GT and have the same issues as Slevin so it's not the card chipset that's causing his issues. I also agree with Eyerock, you can try posting your issue on
http://www.computerforum.com, maybe you'll be able to get both our problems figured out.

So you still have issues after reinstalling Windows 7? Did you install the latest Graphics Drivers?
I was thinking it may also be a problem with the latest drivers. Thats why if I'm gonna try uninstalling them and installing older drivers that I never had any problems with.
