    Steam Gifts Problem

Hi! I hope you don't mind me creating a thread about this but i'm having trouble opening a gift I recieved through Steam.

Some of the problems are when I click the 'Open My Gift' button nothing happens. If I try to recieve it through the links in the email the page either doesn't load or it takes me to a 'page not found' page. I've tried 3 different web browsers but that didn't help :icon_holdingtears:

Here's a link to a thread about it on the Steam forums http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/s ... ?t=1046483 i've tried all the "solutions" but nothing has worked yet.

Has anyone else ever had this or know what to do?

I haven't dealt with this sorry. I'd open a ticket with Steam now while u try to solve it yourself... they are slow as Christmas.

This never happened to me, I use google chrome. try using every browser you can find, (IE, Firefox, Google Chrome, Safari, Opera). and if that doesnt work then it's Steam's problem.

All my games are gifts for a good friend in Britain :D

try this: Log into Steam, then go to your email and see if it will activate.

    Re: Steam Gifts Problem

Thanks but I managed to get the gifts to work.

What I did in the end was to get my buddy in Holland to log in on my steam account on his computer and see if he could activate the gifts at his end. He didn't have any problem so i'm not sure why it didn't work at my end here...probably some bug in a script somewhere preventing the buttons and links from working??

I'm usually on top of these things but i'll make sure everything's up to date and hopefully there won't be anymore trouble in the future :)
