it seems like I gotta sit it out for a while. My parents have stopped believing me when I use a lot of my free time with the servers.

I had a great time, but I can't convince my parents that I balance it out with good grades. I do, but they don't believe me. I can only be on on Wednesdays and maybe weekends.
Just wanted to say that these few months have been really fun since I got to meet some people while I played.

My parent problem doesn't involve the game being nasty or anything (my dad wants to play if he could, but hates things involving credit cards over the internet) It's just that they don't believe me when I say I finished my homework and I'm ready for the big test. Since grades don't come out very often here, they can't see them. Since i have my own computer in my room, they think I am always playing this. They just conveniently come in when the loading screen pops up, they say, "you've played for 2 hours now, it's time to take a break."
Those 2 hours have been spent on a job they don't know about. If I said I had a job, they would clip the cord of my $1200 computer. They don't think i should do any job around computers, because that would "give me an epileptic seizure" or other excuse. I could only propose a deal that I can play on Wednesdays for one hour.
But no because of this, I'll be on the forums a whole lot more.

Sorry for the double post, but I know another reason they put pressure on me. I was originally with an older sibling, but he now goes to a boarding school. Since he is gone, my parents only know how to deal with two problems. And since there is only one problem now, they focus on it like a magnifying glass. I get all the pressure now...

Honestly his parents sound worse than mine! My mom just doesn't like the game, and that's all. I don't have the problems that Penguin has...sorry but honestly I son't know how to help you here....parental counseling???

School is by no means stupid. Although I see many faults in the system our country uses, school is a great tool if you use it wisely. I unfortunately tried very little in middle through high school and had a lot of catching up to do in my undergrad. The more you do now when you are forced to the less you will have to do later. Is it really so bad that while your parents bust their butts 40+ hours a week to make a living that feeds, clothes and shelters you that you reciprocate the hard work at school? Just getting into this silly lecture because I want people to learn from my mistakes.
