I know what i am saying crim. , (TKC)Boo_Yaa and a lot of other players were there when that was happening. :icon_there:

If someone thinks someone is hacking, they can hit up a TKC member so they can spectate the person and verify if they are or not. And don't even bring up the zoom bind issue (you might, you might not). I admit I thought it was a hack at first, but now I don't and I'm looking at every bind and glitch as google will allow for half-life 2 deathmatch so I don't falsely accuse someone of hacking again. :icon_there:

I know that you can't spectate if you're not a TKC member but what I was thinking is that if someone is speedhacking you can still record it from your own point of view pretty easily without going to spectate.

Yeah but steambans won't accept it as evidence. However, if that is the only option, they should do it for our sake and we can ban them ourselves with that evidence.

I think there is a problem with the 1 ping or 300 ping commands because that can lag others and make you go much faster and lag around so no one can hit you. Most of the time it is unintended, but it always screws someone up. It can sometimes be as good as a speed hack.

I do see several people speed hacking on flems very early in the morning, but they are doing it in a very unprofessional way. :icon_rolleyes: they end up crashing themselves or getting themselves stuck. They use a very glitchy program called Cheat engine. It can become a virus. If it is very early (around 4:00 eastern) and you come in with one of them already there, they either leave or break down because someone else entered.

Theres something you can type into console that brings your ping down to 5...I dont think it actually lowers your ping, but it makes the server think your ping is only 5 and wont kick you...thats why theres lots of lag when everyones pings seem normal

    cl_cmdrate 30
    cl_updaterate 20
    rate 5000
    cl_interp_ratio 1

To get the effect you speak of slevin, set your cl_cmdrate to 30 or lower.
It is really annoying, It makes it so they don't send as much information to the server. Making it very laggy and then props and nades (nades are just props that have a fuse, as far as the engine is concerned) are not as effective against people with rate values like this. They are considerable slower in their bhop, it is currently being discussed in the competitive community as "rate-hacking." Even though it is not a hack, many skilled players find it unfair.

    My rates are as follows:
    cl_cmdrate 101 // to make sure it stays at 100 (default max_value)
    cl_updaterate 101 // same as above^
rate 60000 // get's capped at 30k most of the time, but my FioS internet can handle a wider pipe of information, as can most modern servers.
cl_interp_ratio 2 // no idea, poor_billy told me to have it like this and I listened.
