no it's fuel, not coolant. I smell fuel every time it starts idling rough, and the puddle that collects under my exhaust pipe is fuel. Trust me, I smelled it. lol.

I wasnt doubting you just reminding earth7man.

Just a random thought here but try testing your crankshaft position sensor. Had one go bad on one of my Jeeps and had similar issues with it. Replaced it and all was better. That or possibly one of your O2 sensors is bad.

alright, thanks. I'll look into that. :icon_happy:

    *EDIT*

Well, I called my dad and told him what you said, and my grandfather is coming over and has a device to test the fuel injectors. He also said most of the time when a sensor goes out you can get an error code from the engine by jumping the last 2 pins out on the plug for the computer inside the car. We jumped it out and the only code it's giving us is "12" which means all systems normal. :icon_neutral:

Then again he also said he's had car computer error codes lie to him before. lol. We'll see. They'll be working on it for the next couple days.

Alright, we know it's one of two things now. It's either the computer itself, or a fuel injector. My grandfather came over earlier. I was told he was bringing some sort of device to check the fuel injectors...well...that device was a stethoscope. No joke. He used the stethoscope on each fuel injector once my car started idling rough. The fuel injectors should have a clicking sound when they are running right and you use the stethoscope on them. The front-center injector sounded like radio static. So, it's either the injector, or the computer. Reason he says it may be the computer is because it didn't show any error codes other than "all systems normal" when we checked it.

That was my next guess, computer related. The stethoscope is an awesome little trick for injectors. I've done it before. Either fix is going to be a bit spendy. I dunno about GM products but Chrysler are good for saying everything is normal when in all actuality something is wrong.

We have this handy little place called Pull-A-Part about fifteen miles from my house. It's basically a huge junkyard that buys cars, and you can go in and take any part off of any car they have and buy it. Only catch is, you take it off yourself. Bring your own tools and find the car (you can see online if they have your car in stock) and take off the part that you want, and since it's used and you do all the labor, the parts are SUPER cheap. I mean, a brand new fuel injector for my car costs $56 at AutoZone. At Pull-A-Part, it's only $6.

Only bad thing about Pull-A-Part is that they don't keep up with what parts are taken off what car, since parts may be missing when they buy a car, and you risk going there and them not having the exact part you need. They also have a $2 entrance fee, which really isn't bad at all. Oh and also, the computer for my car at AutoZone, if I bring in my old one, is $110. At PaP, it's $26. :icon_mrgreen:

Oh one other thing. My car (92 model) has a supercharged edition. They have a supercharged edition of my car in stock. If the supercharger manifold and computer aren't already gone, I'm gonna buy them and put them on my car. It's only $100 there as opposed to over $1,000 at AutoZone. My mileage is gonna drop, but ohhhhh am I gonna get some power on this thing :icon_mrgreen:

Pick-n-pulls are fun! You really shouldnt see a drop in mileage adding more power. At first you will cause youll be in the throttle from the new born power but after a while you will notice you are getting the same if not a little more cause the motor isnt working as hard to get moving and keep at a similar speed. I just did a 236 mile round trip with my Grand Cherokee that has a 318 V8, all time 4x4, lift, 32" tires, Race tune, dual exhaust no cats or mufflers, cold air intake, oversized fuel injectors, 52mm bored throttle body, aero dynamic brick on wheels and averaged 21.9 MPG. Dont get me wrong I can make this thing average 4mpg also!

OMFG. Dad texts me while I'm at church today. Him and my grandfather found the issue.

A pinched wire. A F***ING PINCHED WIRE. WHAT THE FREAKING HELL.

I am so pissed...I spent over $100 in the last 4 days on this car replacing parts, and it's a wire. A WIRE. My car's working fine now.

Well thats good the issue is solved. Electronics, especially wiring, can be very touchy. I hate tracking down electrical gremlins like that!
