    the guy even told maybe the problem is about the video card.

    He was talking about when Vista was first released. ATI had major compatibility issues with it. NVIDIA had their own fair share of compatibility issues, but nowhere near as many as ATI had.

    Sometimes measuring the bottleneck can be interpreted in so many ways. The only Thing ATI can render better then Nvidia is BSoD.

    All their video cards are compatible, the problem is just about their last driver 10.4 :)

    They have a problem with only the Radeon HD 5830 and the 10.4 :)

    Try upgrading to 10.5, just make sure you uninstall 10.4 first. http://game.amd.com/us-en/drivers_catalyst.aspx?p=win7/windows-7-64bit

    idle i run ~48c to ~56c if room temp is around ~70f ~80f
    i enable manual fan speed to 45% when i play games and it stays around ~60c to ~70c
    i am running 10.5 win 7 x64 driver and xfx 5870

    gpu observer for temp monitoring (win 7 gadget)
