    Re: fraps or xfire

If FRAPS slows your computer down (And it SURE will), but if it slows it enough during gameplay that frame rates become an issue, you can try PlayClaw and SnagIt, both are good, but won't take up as many resources as FRAPS will, but in most cases FRAPS' quality is absolutely unmatched. If you are all about clarity, go for FRAPS, but if it turns your framerates to abysmal levels, you can try the other two.

I personally prefer FRAPS as well. :icon_teeth:

    Re: fraps or xfire

Yeah you gotta have a good CPU to run FRAPS well. The advantage to PlayClaw is you can tell it which cores you want it to run off of. Personally, I prefer FRAPS, because Playclaw actually gave me LOWER framerates than FRAPS did. It's the other way around with most people, but FRAPS has better quality.

By either commiting to illegal internet activities like 80% of other avid users or being a good person and purchasing the product. What you downloaded was just a trial, and FRAPS deserves to be payed for making such a high quality screen recorder/fps moderation device.
