CAN'T FIND HL2CTF SERVER!

Hello everybody,
I have a serious question. Where is the (TKC)HL2CTF server? I can't find it in the list of Half-Life 2 deathmatch servers (i find other CTF maps though). Is it because I am stationed in Quebec, Canada and I am too far to the server (unlikely) or is it because the server is open on a certain day at a certain time.

If anyone has answer, PLZ post!

connect: 208.70.77.162:27019

But is there i was just there a few moments ago.

Well I have PC and I don't know how to search with the code (208.70.77.162:27019).

Can someone tell me how??

Our you trying to connect through hl2dm cuase you actuallly have to download the game hl2ctf

Go to:

http://www.cashworks.org/files/hl2ctf/h ... 1_full.exe

1. And download the MOD
2. Shut down Steam (Very important)
3. Double-click the hl2ctf_full.exe installer you downloaded.
4. Verify the location of your SourceMods folder.
5. Click Install and overwrite all files.
6. Run Steam

Hope you found the beta and it works for you! The game is not bad at all to play.

So i did what you told me to do monitor2x, the game appears in Steam, but when I run it, it opens and an Engine error appears:

Half Life 2 is required to run mods.

and then the game closes.

What is that? How do I solve my problem?

Make sure the game gets installed in the SourceMods folder

usually is:

Program files/Steam/SteamApps/SourceMods

and make sure steam gets closed before you install it.

I don't have Half life 2 installed in my pc, just Half life 2 deathmatch.

Well it still wont work (still gives me that error). I did everything you told me monitor2x and everything http://www.hl2ctf.com/ told me to do. On their forum, someone else has that problem, and people answered that I have to purchase a Valve game so I can have the SDK base. But I have it! (i think). If you have Half Life 2 Lost Coast, their is a video stress test, and if it works, you have the SDK base. And it worked for me!

So I really dont know what the problem is but all I know is that I a missing a lot of fun.

Did you purchase the whole hl2dm game? Because I believe there are some offers out there that will allow you to play HL2DM but don't have all the files required to play CTF. You should look into that.

As for how to connect, I'm still working on it but the absolute easiest way to join one of our servers is to go to our website>server status> pick the server you want to join and click the join button. You have to have gametracker lite installed but there is a link to download when u click 'join'.

I actually didnt purchase HL2DM, I got i free from the Orange Box (HL2 Lost Coast, HL2DM, Portal:The first slice). Does that change anything?

I'm afraid I was correct, you need to purchase HL2DM in order to play HL2CTF. I believe its $5 right now.
