    blizzard 2011

i have been plowing for a few years now. never have i seen it like it has been in the last 12 hrs. i went out at 9pm and it was a ghost town outside. just us plow guys and service vehicles. i plowed the same places 3+ times last night so i could keep up on the snow.(more than likely i am going to have to have snow removed from one one my accounts cause i have to more places to push it) i had 2 other trucks on the road plowing my accounts and had to call in a buddy who does mostly residential to help also. i used $600+ in gas in my trucks last night need to add up all receipts still. my oldest truck got stuck last night and i thought that tom broke an axle but we were able to get it out after an hour of working at it. had to get chain and use tree to pull out. then i get home to see my own car is buried from the city plow.. ahh i am going to bed right now im cold cranky tired and i miss my girl. :icon_happy:

nope now i am going to bed. i dont mind helping people out but everyone who knows me knows what i do for a living. thats why they call me to come do there driveways for free. FREE really its not like i can go to my buddys shop and tell him i want him to put a new exhaust system on my truck and i want him to do it all free of charge. why is it that my trade people have the nerve to ask me to do there house for free. i dont even do residential too much hassle and not enough money to keep a truck on the road. its just irritating. i went to do 6 driveways cause people kept blownin my phone up and i am a nice guy and only was given $20 which i told them to just keep (my girls parents) i just hate people i think or maybe i am just a cranky tired bastard right now :icon_meanie:

Maybe but you will see things differently after a good sleep, that doesn't mean you gonna have to let people use you. :)

They have been doing rotating blackouts here because no one is at work (cept my wife) or school so I guess power is being consumed big time. I went to bed at 5am and the power just kept going up and down periodically. Worst sleep EVER. My noise making fan kept going out and I could hear every sound the kids were making in the other room. BAH! It's 24 degrees here now. Back down to like 10 tonight. IN DALLAS!

one predicted side-effect of global warming is more intense extremes of both winter and summer storms.... 2010 was tied for the hottest year on record with 1995 overall, doesn't sound much like an ice-age.

Lol. Im in Ohio and caught the ice belt. More than a 1/2 inch of snow knocked out power to over 250,000 in Ohio, including us. Our house got below 50 degree too :(
