Ive always used norton products myself and find them to work well in any versions of windows. I wouldnt want adware shoved at me. For the cost of an antivirus program its worth it to run a program you know and has come thru for you in the past whether thats a free program or one thats not free. Either way you want something reliable all around and glitch free as your personal firewall against viruses and spyware.

As a user of Avg Free, I can tell you firsthand that they don't bombard you with adware. I've been using AVG for over a year now and I've never seen any adware, so I don't know where you heard that from.

BTW the blue color is annoying; I can barely read it, so I changed it for you :icon_lol:

Well...I think that Norton and trend micro are the best...
A major company in Canada uses Trend Micro (Petro Canada) My dad works as a programer for them, so he gets to use Trend micro Internet security for free on his home computers.. and trend micro works realy well for me too..

Sometimes measuring the bottleneck can be interpreted in so many ways. The only Thing ATI can render better then Nvidia is BSoD.

Thanks for all the suggestions, I asked around and a lot of people said Kaspersky is the best out right now so I got that ,and it was on sale for only $45 (regular 79.99)

Good move. I've spent quite a bit of time studying the best anti-virus software on several occasions. That's the one that always gets high marks. ;)

It was a tough decision though, cause people also told me Bitdefender was pretty good too, and it was on sale for $49.99 for a 2 year subscription; instead i got the highest rated kaspersky for a 1 year subscription.
