    Anyone into photography?

Just wondering. I've got a dslr, a nikon d3100, and have been fiddling with some photography but I don't have a tripod/remote release yet but want to get both in the near future. Anyone have a suggestion/preference on tri/monopod? I know the remote release varies per model of camera but the tripod is universal.

Sony is fine for point and shoot, but when it comes to DSLRs, u need Nikon.

Sometimes measuring the bottleneck can be interpreted in so many ways. The only Thing ATI can render better then Nvidia is BSoD.

You need to try one :icon_mrgreen: :P
Especially with the NEF Files.. its amazing.. We can do a product photoshoot in the dark (with a little bit of lighting) at work and just by importing the edited NEFs, we can retouch it as if the lights were on in a matter of seconds.

The only recommendation I have is that if you arent already doing so is to get the Files in .NEF(RAW) format and bring them into Photoshop or Lightroom and import them. It takes longer to import then the JPEGs, but the quality is a lot better. But I dont know too much about remotes.

    Re: Anyone into photography?

Nikon for photography, Canon for DSLR film.

As far as tri-pods go, there really isn't a bi market of competitive companies in the Tripod business besides overly expensive ones. Things I'd look for is a crank riser, and pivoting feet for a tripod, and I'm not one for using a monopod, but there are some sport photography companies that really make nice equipment of that sort. Also, you can look at Fig Rigs for stable shots and video by holding what is essentially a steering wheel around the camera. Indymogul has a DIY tutorial, or you can shell out the extra wads of cash for a machined product. [utube]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qT72hoYxESI[/utube]
