this could be a cool idea... its not that they're gonna charge a monthly fee just for playing cod now.. they're beefing up what their website and ingame interface can offer to the multiplayer experience... clan organization tools, competitive matchmaking, in-depth stats analysiss... social networking type features.

Honestly I would be willing to pay a small ($5/month) fee for stuff like this in BF3, hopefully they do it... imho, in today's world a simple "friends list" and "server browser" won't cut it anymore... there needs to be a lot more depth to the social aspects of these multiplayer games... It would be so cool to at least have a clan leaderboard or something where you can compare say top 5 players in a clan to another clan statistically, see how you measure up... anywho, my 2 cents.

I actually think this is a good idea for whoever buys it. The competitive matchmaking will pit you against people of similar skill....which means the retards who do the 10th prestige lobbies and rank all the way up and unlock everything....will play against other hacker noobs who also have the elite service. Think about it...the prestige lobbies automatically give you all the challenges so you have all the xp, and they make your KDR skyrocket. All the hacked accounts will play with hacked accounts...and the legit players will play with the legit players. I kinda like that idea personally.
