The root of the problem, I'm one year into my two year contract with Verizon, so I may be looking at dropping a few hundred bucks to break my contract. .

Punch them in the throat. No, I'll just continuously call until I get someone that will let me outta my contract without paying the fee. If not, then I'll just pay the fee and be done with them.

On a side note, we had the home inspection done today. Of the stuff found the major problems are that there's mold under the kitchen sink, a pipe burst coming out of the hot water heater at some point (about a one inch crack), and a few of the windows have moisture getting between the panes (double-pane windows) which means we either have to replace the glass or the entire window. Hopefully the windows will hold off for a year until next tax season when we can replace them. The mold and issue with the hot water heater, we're asking the seller to have them taken care of.

The house is listed "as is" but we're the only people in the six months that the house has been listed that have provided a legitimate offer so hopefully the seller will be willing to budge some. We put everything together today that we are requesting be fixed and forwarded it to the seller today. We put everything found in the inspection, so hopefully they'll come back and say that they're not going to fix the little stuff, but will fix the major issues. All the little stuff I can take care of after we get moved in.

cool, maybe you can get that dual-pane window replaced they're a few hundred dollars.

That's actually one of my acceptable issues. My main concerns are the heating and mold issues. Mold because it's mold and the heating issue because if it's something major it could run me a few grand, plus install. The windows will hold out until next year and I'll just replace them then.

Yep, got a new cabinet in place of the one with the mold in it. They also replaced the radiator portion of the heat system and the outside condensor .
