Turns out about half the people that ordered this thing from newegg had the SAME problem you have. Bad model I guess, they all said it had to do with the OC button. Now, This is the 870A-G54. I have the 870S-G54, and the reviews for that one compared to the one you got are MUCH better. 73% posted 5 stars as opposed to 55% for the other board. I have had NO issues with this board, and I've played with the OC button a few times and it didn't come off. lol.

Not sure if you'd go for it, but I have had no issues whatsoever from this board. Has worked fine for me. here's the link. It's the same price ($99), and there is virtually NO difference between the two boards, except that the one you had has "military grade components." is military grade really that bad?? lol. oh one other thing. Are you gonna get the 955 BE processor again? this thing is beast :icon_mrgreen:

Although it is about double the price.

You may want to also give ASUS M4A88T-M/USB3 AM3 AMD 880G HDMI USB 3.0 Micro ATX AMD Motherboard a look I haven't used it but it looks promising for the same price as your board.

I think that last board you mentioned is a good one for me. I see a bit further in to that one :P

Trust me the OC button is pretty cool if you have it from a company other than MSI.
