    Hard drive is toast

Yup, my main desktop hdd just fried. heard a click, and smelled smoke and electrical burn. good thing I have a backup, but it's only 90gb :/

I'm really upset cuz it had like 80gb of movies and games that I downloaded.

Bummer dude. There are companies that specialize in data recovery, but you'd be looking at a few hundred dollars to get it back. Don't think that's really worth replaceable material.

yeah I'm working on re-downloading my stuff right now. Not worth it to pay that much to recover it.

would be cheaper to buy the dvds of all those movies than to get a specialist to recover the data
