    My Latest Project

As some of you may know, ive been playing around with hammer editor
I made a new awesome map called me_slant (still beta tesing the monsters)
(come ask me/pm me and ill fire up my server and you can play the map and tell me suggestions) and
Like (I think it was) Bobziwik sugested, we should have a ctf, dm_sniper map.
    Thats a great idea !
So i downloaded vmex tool and the ctf sdk files, so now decompiled dm_sniper, now im working on a dm_sniper CTF map
    HENCE : "WORKING"
Im not done it yet, im still working on it, hopefully it works :P

Sometimes measuring the bottleneck can be interpreted in so many ways. The only Thing ATI can render better then Nvidia is BSoD.

Should I make this a domination map or should I make it, you have the flag and you have to score it somewhere?

domination would be waaaay too easy, cuz all someone would have to do is get the flag then camp the base, and it's over.

    Re: My Latest Project

    My thoughts:

Have it as a classic map. One base (combine) is the base, the other (rebel) is the garage. The base flag would stand in the middle of the hallway below the ladder. The garage flag would be located in the garage. This way the escape routes are comparable. To get the garage flag back, one would have to cross the map or be smart and go through the hallway opposite the garage. The base flag escape would require getting out of base, which isnt easy. But once it is outside, its easy to get back. They are balanced both ways. Testing is going to be the best way to figure this out.

Obviously major mods would have to be made. My suggestion would be deepening the back wall of the garage, and add a table there with various weapons. Also add combine health meters. Remove all orb spawn spots but two from the base and only use two in the garage. Remove the orb spawn by the back garage door. By the outdoor SLAM spawn point, add a .357.

If you want, we can go online to an empty dm_sniper map and fly around to see what could be made.

yeah, and make it to where you cant just run out of the portal with the base flag. mod it to where if you go through the portal with the flag, it returns to its spot.

I love the idea...I decompiled the dm_sniper map so i have raw data and i can edit it to how ever i want it to look and feel then rcompile it back into a bsp file...so ill look at changing the design of the garage. As for having 2 flags is also a good idea, BUT right now, the main concert is getting the map to work. once that is done then i can add all the fancy thingys. ( like changing garage and putting 2 flags in.) So for now ill make it a domination map. Once I get it to work then ill start on your idea :icon_crazy:

if its domination, make over entries to Base. Like a hidden teleport...

So it works if i launch it locally (start up 1.71/1.75 on my comp and play it) but it doesnt work on the server
