i have a $450 main comp that runs it probably about the same detail as console. and i just built a new comp for $800 and it runs it maxxed out. so it doesnt cost 2000. also my new comp will be just fine for 5+ years and at worst i might need to upgrade to sli (but if i can run this i bet ill be fine for a few years at least) and a possible memory upgrade since i only have 4 gigs of ddr3. but that means i wont have to buy several consoles to stay current. so 2 new consoles over 6 years is about 800 including extra controllers and accessories. I used to play consoles almost exclusively and find pcs much easier. Not only that but like i said i wont have to buy a new console and all the extra crap every 3-3.5 years.

You wont get comparable quality for $450. A 'next gen' equivalent graphics card will cost you 200 alone, plus 200 for a monitor, tower, ram, hdd, etc
(If you compare the value of the components, console is cheaper... you obviously are lucky you must have already had previous components or bought components not in prodction anymore for much less then current retail)

If not, tell me where you bought a decent gaming rig for $450 cash retail, I want one.

His point is he built a computer for $800 and its maxed out. You don't have to spend $2,000 to build a gaming computer to run BC2 maxed.
