    GeForce 3D Vision kit

Do any of you guys have the GeForce 3D Vision kit? or have any of you played in 3D?

I think $200 bucks for the kit it's just too much, although it would be nice to play Battlefield Bad Company 2 in 3D (or maybe not, not sure how it looks) or watch movies etc., maybe I'll wait until it goes down on price.

Hmmm if you're planning to play BC2 in it, you need an intense GPU, Ild saya minimum geforce 250 and radeon 4600/5700+ series but with that, ul be lucky to get 30 FPS, you'd probabley need a 260/5800+ (tho a 5770 might cut it)

Also, the LCD monitor for it costs around $600 becuase it requires 120Hz or you could just get an old CRT screen and play on it :P

Sometimes measuring the bottleneck can be interpreted in so many ways. The only Thing ATI can render better then Nvidia is BSoD.

Its a waste of money. Wait a few years, and if it becomes mainstream then the price will go down.
I'm not going to buy essentially an HD tv just to play games on a PC, i might as well buy a console and not have to worry about keeping my system up to date.
(The cost of upgrading my computer now, would be enough to buy a 360 or ps3 along with a decent 1080p TV)
And besides that mean you need an nvidia card too, so anyone thats bought an ati the past few years wouldnt want to pay for a new nvidia so soon.

Yeah like Slevin says maybe i'll wait until goes down on price or there are more options on the market.

One thing i would definitely want to get it's Avatar on Blu-ray 3D, not sure if the movie will come with the 3D glasses or if you'll need special equipment, but i would definitely would like to see that movie in 3D at home. :icon_holy:

ughh...More like you'll need 2 projecters---One that shows light horisontally and one that projects vertically..thats how they do 3D, one lense picks up vertical light, and the other picks up horisontal light

But with the nvidia glasses, you screen will flash at 120/second [thats why u need 120 hz monitor--cost about $600 :icon_eek: (or just use an old CRT that supports them)] (60fps/eye)
